Ironman Austria Results 2011

Temperatures seem perfect and expect to see fast Ironman Austria Results 2011 as this race gets underway.

Marino Vanhoenacker did the swim a minute faster than he did a year ago when he came close to breaking the world record time for an Ironman Triathlon.

Marino is pulling away on the bike and has gained over 3 minutes on Marko Albert who is in second spot.

Vanhoenacker has finished the bike and has a combined time of 5:04:45 for the swim and bike and is on course for a world record in the Ironman. He is 5 minutes ahead of his time from last year and is looking great.

This bike split is the 2nd fastest Ironman bike time in history. What a great day for Marino, Ironman Austria, and the tens of thousands of fans who are witnessing Ironman history.

These are the top five women at the 2k mark of the run.(1) Ellis Mary Beth (2) Riesler Diana (3) Csomor Erika (4) Bij De Vaate Heleen (5) Dollinger Eva

At the 9k mark Mary Beth was beginning to push the pace and was extending the gap over Diana Riesler who was still holding off Erika Csomor.

However 2nd place did not last much longer for Diana Riesler as she was passed by Erika Csomor who moved into second place ahead.

Now the gap has grown to over 11 minutes from the leader Mary Beth.

At 21.5k the gap was over 9 minutes and it seemed at this point that the main focus for Marino was holding it together and breaking the world record as there was little doubt that he would top Ironman Austria results 2011 in just over an hour.

Vanhoenacker had a lead of over 8 minutes as the second runner began the marathon and never looked back and tops Ironman Austria results 2011 with a new world record for the Ironman Triathlon of 7:45:50

WOW! Just look at those times. Earlier today only two pros went under the 9 hour mark in Ironman Korea 2011.

Mary Beth Ellis is across the finish line In Ironman Austria in a time of 8:43:26 which is the fastest Ironman debut time in history.

It is also a course record for Ironman Austria.
